Yesterday our friends at DICE unveiled the 1st look at the successor to Battlefield 3. With over 17 minutes of gameplay footage, you bare witness to a host of new additions that were not seen in the previous installment. 

With new squad commands, amazing visuals and even more detailed environments, Battlefield 4 looks great already. Really looking forward to hearing more about this title as the year passes by.

Battlefield 4 will be released this fall.

This expansion pack will go live within Sony’s regular PlayStation Store update window, typically between 4-8PM GMT in Europe and 4-8PM PST in North America. (Sony Japan/Asia will follow tomorrow 10AM-2PM JST)

DICE & EA this morning released a brand new gameplay trailer for the next Battlefield 3 expansion, Close Quarters. All I can say is that is a whole hell of a lot of destruction! I find it funny that many are saying this is Call of Duty, last time I checked Call of Duty looked nothing like this. Check out the details below and make sure to keep your eye out for the new weapons that will be coming with this expansion.

Battlefield 3 Announces Close Quarters Expansion Pack

This June DICE & EA are set to release a brand new expansion into Battlefield 3 names Close Quarters. 

BATTLEFIELD 3: CLOSE QUARTERS IS A THEMED EXPANSION PACK BRINGING THE TEAM PLAY OF BATTLEFIELD 3 TO TIGHT INDOOR ENVIRONMENTS. THE FRANTIC CLOSE QUARTERS INFANTRY COMBAT IS AMPLIFIED BY UNPRECEDENTED HIGH DEFINITION DESTRUCTION, NEW WAYS TO PLAY, MORE WEAPONS AND ADDED PERSISTENCE.

The HD Destruction in Close Quarters lets players riddle the environment with bullets, reducing entire locales to ruin. Everything from furniture to plaster can be shot to pieces, and players can see the result of the mayhem as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor.

The tight level design and many opportunities for vertical gameplay mean players will need to bring their A game if they want to stay alive in this highly competitive theater of war.

Check out this amazing fan made Only In Battlefield submission from sloanbone2006 on youtube.com. DICE have narrowed it down to 10 finalists and in my opinion this is by far the best one. Great use of footage, and the editing is fantastic! This is only a fraction of why Battlefield 3 is by far the best fps multiplayer experience out there.
